He was born to Charles Verne McFadden and Mary Kathryn Strong McFadden in Crown Point. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Marilyn Joyce McFadden. He is survived by his three daughters: Beth (John) Bowen of Hebron, Diane (Sean) Burns of Carpentersville IL, Jill (Patrick) Krsak of Valparaiso and his cherished dog, Sadie; six grandchildren: Nicholas and Nadine of Hebron, Natalie of Carpentersville, IL and Samantha, Kyle, and Riley of Valparaiso.Robert was the youngest of seven children, and is survived by his two sisters Mary Quigg and Etta Claxton. He was raised in Crown Point and worked for National Tea grocery store then for A & P grocery store as a meat cutter for 36 years. He was also a proud veteran in the Korean War. He lived a wonderful life and will be missed by many.Gravesite services will be Friday, April 27, 2018 at 10:00 am at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
